The total number of visitors to Bali in 2024 reached 16.4 million, nearing the 2019 peak of 16.8 million (Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi Bali, 2024). However, data shows that most visits are still centered around Badung and Gianyar, while activities in other regions remain below 40% (BPS Bali, 2024/2025). This uneven growth, if not properly mitigated, could potentially cause environmental degradation and social tension. Further, Bali’s tourism might erode its own ecological and cultural foundations.

To address these challenges, United In Diversity (UID) invites you to join UID x Aquo Talk: “Bali Tourism Status Quo: Navigating The Island's Overconcentrated Tourism." In collaboration with Mandara SLPP—an institution dedicated to advocating for and educating the public on policy issues in Bali—this event aims to catalyze the policy shifts and cross-sector coordination necessary to redistribute tourism benefits across the island.

Join us for an open conversation on the spatial limits of South Bali, and share your views with other communities to reflect on how we navigate the island's evolving tourism landscape!
